Title: 0700 number Post by Ricardo on Feb 19th, 2014 at 11:45am
An advert has appeared locally saying call 0700 34x xxx and underneath "Local rate number" Surely this is not correct? To me it is an 070 personal number costing approx 47p or 37p depending on time of day. Can someone confirm that I am correct before I tackle this outfit. Their landline numbers either go to fax or say not connected. Sounds a bit suspicious to me

As printed in your example the number is a digit short of being valid.
Is it possible the number really begins 0370 ? |

If it starts 0700 34 its definitely a personal number charged normally at PN3 rate.
Which from a BT Line would be charged at Weekdays, Daytime from 07:00:00 - 47.54p per minute and set-up cost of 15p Weekdays, Evening from 19:00:00 - 37.84p per minute and set-up cost of 15p Weekend - 37.84p per minute and set-up cost of 15p |

Apologies for the confusion, I missed an x off the number. It is made to look like a free number, though it does have the local charge reference below it. Seeing as the firm has 2 inoperative landlines, I wouldn't want to do business with them. Looks like one for ASA
