Post by JamesEB on Apr 15th, 2014 at 8:43am
Can someone please give me a geo number for Hewlett Packard?

The numbers on your database 01344 360000 and 020 7949 0300 have been changed to 0845 numbers.

Thanks

Good Morning JamesEB. When you dialled the 2 numbers were u presented with an automated message advising you to ring the 0845 number? What is the 0845 number given?

This will help us is updating the database...

Thanks

Thanks.

I hadn't dialled the numbers but I have just done so and the recorded messages say that both numbers have been changed to 0845 2704567

I need a geo number and hope someone can help with that.

Thanks for help.

One search for 0845 270 4567 gives this page which confirms the number is for the UK offices.  There is an alternative given in International format of 020 7949 0300.  Perhaps you can call that and report back if it works...

Please note there it advises not to use it for Tech Support so be prepared for that if that's what you are trying to use it for.

Thanks.

I just dialled that 020 7949 0300 and got the same recorded message to use 0845 2704567.

I do need a geo number.

Thanks again for help.

I am afraid I am therefore stumped... perhaps it has a "location detection" service.. have you tried from a mobile with your number withheld?

I only ask as HP have provided that number on that page... so I have no idea why it would not otherwise work...

That's a typo.  The number is  0845 270 4567.

Thanks.

Maybe it is still on that page because the page is out of date.

I found that the 01344 fax number on that page works so I will fax them.

I do need a geo number.

Thanks for help.

Good Afternoon James,

If anyone is successful in finding an alternative number I am sure one will be provided.

If you don't mind me asking what do you need to call HP regarding?

Kind Regards.

I've removed the entries with these numbers in.

Interestingly, I tried the 0845 270 4567 number and it has a single burst of foreign ringing tone, possibly German.

Has HP moved the main point of contact for UK customers to another country and if so, which?
