Title: Travelodge. Crawley. west Sussex. Post by loathecliff on Jul 22nd, 2014 at 4:55pm
Hi Guys, with great trepidation (having read the guidelines), I ask if anyone has the geo. no. for their new hotel. It's not on the excellent site list, or on 192, & on my very slow rural connction in Portugal bt's phonebook won't perform. So have I tried hard enough myself? - I am now at your mercy :)

You've probably got the UK +44 871 984 6512 number. There is a post from 30/6/14 here suggesting the equivalent +44 371 984 6512 number will work (UK 03 numbers are charged the same as standard 01 and 02 numbers). I've tried it and it does!
Alternatively, there's another thread from 7/9/12 here aparently identifying a UK freephone number - which directs calls to Barcelona! |

Whilst the 0371 number does work. They do not accept bookings on that number and they tell you that in the voice announcement, and they refer you to the 0871 number. So if the original poster wants to make a booking not much good for him alas.

Two years ago all Travelodge's landline numbers on native geographic area codes were replaced with 020 (London) ones. This is a new hotel and therefore probably never had an "old" 01293 number.
The "new" hotel numbers start at 020 3195 4500 and go up to 020 3195 4999, which is 500 numbers. As there are more than 500 branches, newer numbers are seen to be in the range 020 3195 8xxx. I last looked at Travelodge branches in November 2012 and these are the latest (by 020 number):
This Travelodge press release says that the Crawley Travelodge opened on 31st January 2014. Assuming that they are allocated in the order they open then it will be greater than 020 3195 8858. There are two possibilities: 1. Ring one of the other branches and ask if they will give you the 020 number for the Crawley one. 2. Try numbers above the one for Sunderland High Street West and ask/find out which hotel you are through to. Make a note of those that you match up to hotels (including hotel name!) and post here so we can add them to the listings. |

The fax number of this hotel is 020 3195 7832 so its possible that the number is 020 3195 7831.
As the fax number allocated in the past normally appears to be the next number after the voice number. EG Fort William Fax 020 3195 8855 Sunderland High St Fax 0203 195 8859 |

Based on the few I found, the hotels with voice numbers of the form 020 3195 4xxx have faxes 020 3195 5xxx (where xxx are the same three digits). However, for hotels with 020 3195 88xx voice numbers the fax appears to be one digit after. As bigjohn has found that the fax is a 020 3195 7xxx number, I suggest your first port of call is as he suggests: 020 3195 7831. Let us know what you find so we can add to the listings. BTW bigjohn, where did you get the fax number from? |

Thanks for the link bigjohn. I see that each hotel's page (complete with address, and voice and fax numbers) can be reached from the A-Z hotel list. I've added the number for Chertsey. According to the Travelodge site, it has a fax number with the local area code: 01932 565481. |

Do what ? :) You asked for phone number for the Crawley Lodge The correct phone number is 020 3195 7831 one digit up from the fax 020 3195 7832 as suggested. You said go down one from the fax no which brings you to 020 3195 7833 the number for the Chertsey Lodge, which is about 40 minutes drive from Crawley. ;) Thanks Admin for adding it to the database. |

Is this an anti-universe or something? Since when has 1 been "up" from 2? OK, in the music charts maybe, but in normal life it's down!

I can see your point, but as i saw it if your allocating a range of numbers starting say xxx xxxx 7831 the next number allocated would be downwards on the list eg xxx xxxx 7832 and then xxx xxxx 7833 and so on. Therefore xxx xxxx 7831 is up in this case. But the main thing is we have found the number and another useful one to add to the list and the original poster achieved what they wanted to do. :) |
