I have just called BT on behalf of my elderly neighbour to make an enquiry in regard to the 1571 answer service that they will not be taking up as it incurs a monthly charge of £1.97 (rip off).
This is not the main reason for this post today because when my call was connected it was answered from a call centre bases in India. I have nothing against call centres in India and indeed I am not racist in any way. My query is, Why do we allow companies such as British Telecom (the clue is in the name)base their call centres overseas when there are thousands of skilled UK operators out of work. I know there will be a cost implication but I just think it isn't right. |

OK, that is good news, I heard that there are many companies considering the same as it is no longer financially viable as wagers are increasing.
China is one country in question because there are issues with the time line and becasue the cost of living is increasing it is becoming less economical to produce goods and then ship them to Europe. |
