Title: dial through numbers on BT Post by Neetie on May 31st, 2016 at 11:41am
I have just renewed my BT contract and was told that the inclusive any time calls no longer include dial through numbers..I assume this means 18185 as well as 0844 dial through. Has anyone else heard this and if so is there a way round it

For calls made via 18185 you do not pay BT for any part of the call. You pay only18185. Where inclusive allowances cover 0845 and 0870 numbers, BT says they do not cover numbers used for dial-through services. This has been the case for a long time. |

While it is relatively easy for BT to single out individual dial through numbers which are published by third-party operators, and which its system can flag up for investigation, I think it is far more unlikely that BT would take action and charge for calls (outside of the package) made to a 0845 or 0870 number set-up by the subscriber and directed elsewhere (to a UK mobile or international destination). |
