Title: SSE 0800 Numbers
Post by Q on Sep 15th, 2016 at 5:44pm
It appears that SSE have removed *all* of the 0800 numbers listed on this site.

They all play a recorded message saying this number has change to 0345.....

The vast majority of calls to 01, 02 and 03 numbers made from landlines and mobiles are made as part of an inclusive allowance. This is now the 'normal' way to make these calls.

Provision of an entirely free-to-caller number comes at considerable per-minute cost to the called party. As such, usage should be restricted to those services where it is vital that all callers incur no charges.

This point has been fulfilled with the national Powercuts and Blackouts Emergency Helpline which came into service in May 2016 on 105. This number is free-to-caller on landlines and mobiles.

Hi, That may be the case but it was more being flagged so they could be removed from the site as the numbers are now invalid.

SSE energy provider has changed their number so that, as yet, there is no 0800 corresponding number.  The number is 03450713957 - can anyone help id a freephone for this please?

See http://www.saynoto0870.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.cgi?num=1473961479/2#2 they dont have a freephone number anymore.

Calls to 03 numbers are inclusive on landlines and mobiles, or else they are charged at 'geographic rate' - the same as calling 01 and 02 numbers.

ADMIN could you amalgamate threads please. :)

Done.

Ruby4

As this website's name suggests we look to find alternatives to 087 and indeed 084 numbers.  As 03 numbers are charged the same as an 01/02 number and are included in any calling minutes there is no alternative needed.

I hope this helps.
