Title: Xtra-vision - Geographical No required.
Post by Brian69 on Dec 2nd, 2016 at 12:35pm
Hi,

I have just ordered and taken delivery from a web shop called Xtra-vision.

I think maybe it is a subsidiary or something to do with HMV.

The number given in the contact details is 0845 873 6244.

The only other way of contacting them is by snail mail or an online form - we all know how long it takes to get a response that way!

Can anyone help?

Good Morning Brian69

I have had a look at Xtra-Vision (by searching for them online).  I usually think it's helpful to include a web address if they operate online.  However a quick look at their T's and C's
here reveals several contact options.  This includes an Irish number and a UK Geographic number.

Calling (on a Saturday) the 0845 number you provided I get a recorded message saying "sorry this service is no longer available", calling the 020 number provided in the T's and C's I get the identical voiced message.  Therefore at this time I cannot 100% say this alternative is an alternative.

020 3764 0686

I will check this again during their standard opening hours.

Thanks for that.

I have tried several numbers now and not had any luck.  It's as though they don't exist.

As I said in my original post, I sent an online form query but all I've received is an automated acknowledgement.

Whilst this is being sorted out, I would advise anyone tempted to deal with Xtra-vision to hold fire.

My problem lies with invoiced amounts. I got one invoice online in an email, and when the item was delivered I got an increased invoice.

My credit card account seems to have been debited for the original lower amount, which is OK, but I am still wary about why I should have received a different piece of paperwork with the delivery.

I have to say, I dislike dealing with companies who hide behind the internet and phone numbers that obviously don't work.

If all else fails you could try and message them from facebook.

https://www.facebook.com/xtravisionUK/?hc_ref=SEARCH&fref=nf

Where it confirms they are part of HMV.

" Originally launched in the UK back in 1979 and now part of the hmv group, Xtra-vision UK is your one-stop shop for movies, music, games and more."

Brian69

Thanks for letting me know, sadly I didn't get the time today to try both numbers to see what options I had.  I will try them tomorrow (Tuesday).

When you have contacted Xtra-Vision via any number did you get any menu options, or any recorded messages?

Please do let me know.

:)

A quick update, I have called both the 0845 and 020 numbers that we have discussed and BOTH give the same recorded message as before.

Therefore I can only suggest A: e-mailing the address given on their T's and C's page (link in previous post) or B: Perhaps call HMV UK via their customer service number given here and advise them of the situation.

For the moment I will leave the 020 number with a Strike Though on it, as it's not working, though neither is the 0845 number.

I am sorry I cannot suggest anything further at this time.

I have had no luck on the phone whatsoever.

None of the numbers I have actually work.

However, I finally got an email stating I was due a refund.  That was Sunday.  They promised to get back yesterday.

I'm still waiting!

I just thought I would have another look at this company, and low and behold they have updated their number:

020 7054 7818 - 9am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.

Found under section 18 of this page

Just to advise the 0845 number previously given returns the same message as the 020 3 number we previously had.

I hope this helps.
