Hi, has anyone dealt with servicemonkey? They say to cancel a ‘contract’, you can email them but the reply from the email is to ring. 0330 number which in itself is dodgy. Thanks very much in advance for any help trying to protect my vulnerable elderly mum! They seem like total sharks to me (getting her to insure a TV for repair for £200 for 3 years when it’s only worth £50!

In what way do you consider calling an 0330 number to be  "dodgy"?

As for the original product offering, it doesn't sound like value for money.

0330 number is charged at same rate as 01 ad 02 numbers from all phones. Absolutely OK. Only problem is if you're phoning from outside UK when there can be problems.

Servicemonkey sound very dubious indeed. Many other "service contract" and extended warranty deals are dodgy too. Things like insurung your water service pipe (offered by your local water company) are almost always close to being a con.
