Title: DVLA - 0300 Numbers
Post by apj on Feb 18th, 2021 at 2:45pm
Hello
I read below that  0300 numbers on dvla are classed as free as is 01 and 02 which confuses me somewhat as on the dvla website it states that 03 numbers have a cost per minute 9p I think it said?  Can anyone explain this please?

0300 numbers are not free. They are charged the same way as 01 and 02 numbers, which means they are part of inclusive minutes where applicable, so they may be effectively free if they fall within your allowance (which is often unlimited).

apj clearly read they are free calls of up to an hour to make on a landline or of unlimited length on a mobile if you have a calls package with unlimited minutes each month.

This is clearly not the same as an 0800 number that you can use for free from any UK landline or mobile or public payphone without having any kind of call package to use that line.
