I have an ntl cable modem
and needed support on more than one occasion
I have always telephoned their freephone number
and followed the prompts.. however you can always hold for an operator to answer you then put you through.. this is designed for people who do not have touchphone facilities.. I have even got tech support this way which is a designated 0870 number!
just give it a try weekdays 8am>8pm
