The 0800 5875707 number was not working today but the 0800 0510317 number was albeit I had to wait in a 24 minute queue at sky's expense.

I just used the 01506 831 780 number for Sky and it worked really well.  Went through the menu and I didn't even get put on hold - Excellent!

Thanks for the number, it's a real time as well as money saver. Grin

Perhaps it is better to keep this number here on the forum and not to place it on the main saynoto0870 search pages, otherwise Sky will probably kill the number. Wink

0800 0510317 was working fine two days ago when I needed it  Smiley but now it seems to have been closed down  Angry

01506 831 780 is still working though, and was answered straight away (in India) after the menu.  I'm quite happy to contribute my 3p to 1899 for this service!

Does anyone else have difficulty understanding what some of the options being read out when you call them are?  The Scottish lady who recorded the menu seems to speak rather quickly for ease of understanding and some of the options I can't make out what she's saying (and I'm a Scot!).  Also, some of the options I know what was said but don't understand what they mean!   Undecided

Some sneeky jobsworth at Sky is obviously using this forum to obtain and then cancel the freephone numbers that we are using. However I am sure that for every jobsworth at Sky, there are also ethical employees who will continue to share their freephone numbers with us.

Until the next one appears I guess we will just pay 3p per call using the geo number and 1899.

What's wrong with 0800 5875707 then?

Hmm, peterlittleton posted on 14 Sep that it wasn't working so I didn't try it.  It does seem to be there again now, however.

It is still there but effectively all it does is gives you the 0870 number!

Enter a false account number
eg. 123 then * & option 1.
Repeat three times & you'll be transferred to an operator

I've just phoned the freephone 0800 5875707 number and entered 123* 3 times and got transfered to an agent to reschedule my installation date for Sky. Wasn't on the phone 2 minutes.  Grin

Why do they use these sneaky freephone numbers if they don't like people using them?  Huh
