Someone has posted the following message:

The 01506 831782 number that you are listing is for the installation dept.

Has anyone else found this out and do they take customer service enquiries? Anyone found any other nearby numbers that work, and which department they go through to?

That's the number I tried and was told it was cancellations and they couldn't pass me through to another department and had to dial the 0870 number.

Thanks to the member who PM'd me the freephone number  Wink

The number originally posted was 01506 831780 (see this post). Since then, that number and 01506 831781 have been discontinued. Hence the number listed is 782 as it appeared to work. You can try other nearby numbers as these will go through to Sky's office. Similarly, it appears 01506 484xxx numbers are Sky numbers aswell.

I'm trying to find an alternative to 08700 248 902 for Sky Digital - this is a department dealing with offers such as the current student offer at www.sky.com/students though nobody in the customer service centre knows anything about this offer  Roll Eyes

It would be great if anyone could help find this - I've tried the obvious 192.com and BT phone book and been through to what I think is Sky's switchboard, but nobody knows about this department.  Could be a case for Mulder and Scully...  Grin

Embarrassed *EDIT - I'M BEING THICK AND ONLY SAW P1 BEFORE ADDING THE ABOVE MESSAGE*  Embarrassed

I tried the 0800 0512595 this morning and it works fine, full menu and spoke to technical AGAIN.
Maybe they have a limited access to numbers and circulate their ability to connect to try and confuse us?

Hi, first post so be gentle, just called the above number and got straight through to customer services after one ring.  No menus just asked to enter my home phone number.  I think, and it's a guess based on the ansafone message, that installations is 01506 831785.

Thanks James

This number does not work.
You just get a continuous beep.
Is that the number you used ? If so when ?
SKY seem to have eliminated all the other numbers posted so maybe they have killed this one too.

If they go to such great lengths to force people to use their 0870 numbers it makes you wonder just how much money they make from these. Also, how much business they lose by alienating people such as ourselves.

I have just E-Mailed them to say that. if I am unable to communicate effectively with my  TV Provider, they may as well cancel my subscription altogether.
I am awaiting their reply.

Phil

One number I have used and it is customer services I think, they will put you through to anyone. 01506 831782 BUT DON'T PUT IN YOUR NUMBER WHEN ASKED, if you do you are stuffed. Just let it repeat twice then it seems to put you straight through
