I dialled 01506 831783 to reschedule the installation.  It asks from which number you are dialling from, I typed 020 0000 0000.  Got through fine.  Thanks for this guys!

New to this forum, but have being using the website for ages, it is superb  Smiley Smiley I cant stand paying for calls to 0870 and 0845 numbers, so keep it coming, I am also trying to spread the gospel, but I read somewhere that this site is crashing due to the sheer amount of numbers using it  Wink Sad

Can somebody please post the most up to date geographical number for Sky, with advice on numbers to put in after connection. The nice Halifax people have just informed me that my credit card used to pay my Sky bill is changing from Visa to Mastercard, with a new account number. This means I need to contact Sky to let them know.

(I have a Talktalk package that allows me to call geographical numbers for free)

I'm afraid that is not always possible. Sky seem to check this site a lot and any geographical numbers we find, sky quickly stop them working. Try the main CS number, that works ok.

The number I found six months ago, no longer works Sad

If anyone does find another number,  maybe it's best to PM a mod or a full member the number, this can then be sent as a PM, to people who want it.

This just stops sky finding out the number, for a bit longer anyway Wink

I also dialled 01506 831783.  Entered my correct phone number, including std, and got through to someone in about two minutes - then found I was in wrong department, and was told to try phoning normal 0870 number later -I asked whether she could put me through instead coz I didnt want to pay the 0870 tarriff and she obliged- see, honesty is the best policy!!

I went onto hold and was finally answered after about 35-40 minsminutes, although by the time Id organised installation, the call was 59 mins.  Luckily I use one of those dial before you dial things, so the whole call should cost me five pence!!  Hope that theres no way of transferring the tarriff as well as the call....

Why phone sky just email their customer services (on their site) asking to cancel they will phone you within 24 hrs.

No, there isn't - you get charged for the call you dial.

Well today Saturday, 28th July 2007 at about 1.30pm local time, used the number 01506 831781 and was immediately on the system. I put my own phone number in and within about 15 seconds got answered by a human and sorted out my query straight away. So that number works (well at least on Saturday afternoons)

I'd just used the same 01506 831781 number on 30 Jul 07, at about 2pm, and it still worked.

Hi - I have just dialled 01506831781 and put my correct phone number in and got through almost immediately  Smiley  so number still working as of 9th August 08.30 Grin

The number above still worked as of today 12/08/07, got through to Sky with no problems and no waiting.

Hi all,
Ive used 01506 831781 many times before and it's worked fine.

I tried it today more than 10 times and after you input your home number "so you are put through to the correct advisor" the line just bombs out.

Anybody got any ideas why this might be? Timewise it was between 4.30pm and 5.15pm so large volume I could understand, has anybody else been trying at this time and got the same problem?

I just used  01506 831783 and got through no problem, well only 10 minutes and for Sky thats good! Tried 01506 831781 but after asking for your phone number it just cuts you off, must have got wise to it!
