Wow, that was quick.
Just to clarify, I was trying to call the 0207 until about 4am today, with no luck. So it may well be 'off the hook' for good. Who knows.
I gave up in the end and used the infernal 084 number but at least I got straight though to Scotland and spoke to some very helpful ladies there.

But great find on that number. I can call for an engineer now!

I see I am still awaiting a callback for the issue I raised in my online account several hours ago.  Past experience tells me that callback will not be for several days and will then come from somebody in India................................

Yes this is just to confirm that 01506 831741 still works fine to get through to Sky Customer Services.

Obviously it may not still be working in a few days time, although it usually seems to take Sky a while to have numbers published on this website blocked.

The query I filed using the online queries form on my customer account on their website for a call back yesterday has still not led to anyone from Sky giving me a call back so far!

I suspect they know the number has been called directly rather than through the 0844 distribution system and the more anti customer and by the book customer service types then make up nonsense like this up to try and force people to call the 0844 number.  Either that or this number in fact drops on to different positions in the call centre according to the current call load so occasionally it does go to the Sky Retailers line.
