Hi,

This number - 01506 831069 now simply chucks you out of the system, once you've pressed * * and selected option 1. It then tells you to dial the 08702 number!  Angry At least, that's what's just happened to me - 7:10pm on Friday 27th March 2009. However, if you select option 5, and don't enter any phone number, then it connects you!  Cool

Hi everyone,

The number above worked for me today on 15th April 2009.  Dial number, enter the ** as prompted, select option 5 and DO NOT ENTER TELPHONE NUMBER. Sky automatically connects you to customer services.  Good luck everyone!

The 01506 number and method above put me on hold forever, so I tried 020 7979 9540, got through to a live human being, no menu, after being engaged a few (3-5) times, was dealt with immediately and very well - total call legnth 6:31.

Problem with landline Sky number

Does anyone else have a problem with the landline Sky number?

I keep getting 'this service is no longer available' message when I ring it. I do get the 'welcome to Sky' message but after that I get 'this service is no longer available.'

I've just tried this today and although it does get you through onto the Sky tape loop, they never actually answered me. I waited 40 mins the first time, 15 the second after that I just gave up. The automated voice told me "my call should be answered in under zero minutes" so I'm wondering if they have got wise to this and just direct us up a blind alley?

Just tried 020 7979 9540.   Got several 'busy' responses, but when I did get through, had no problems getting through to customer services, without having to key in option numbers or my phone number.

Incidentally, slightly off topic  -  but I needed to call because my Sky+HD was only working on one channel at a time instead of two.   They talked me through a fix  -  but my supplier says several people have had the same problem.   Anyone else similar?

Probably this one 01506 421722 I just tried and after inputting home number I get this service is no longer available and get cut off.

Maybe it just doesn't like my number Smiley

Cheers, Des.

Try NOT punching in your home phone number - it should put you straight through to Customer Services

Bingo! I got straight through with 020 7979 9540 to a very helpful adviser who put me through to the right dept and sorted my refund (I've cancelled my subscription) no hassles.

Thanks for the heads up, wish I'd tried that number to start with!

Tried a lot of the numbers on here, however 0207 979 9540 rang and was immediately picked up - guy answered my query instantly and I had no complaints - call time approximately 3min.

Got straight through just now on 02079799540, I gave the lady my account number and was transferred to an operator. Incidentally if they won't do what you want, ask to be put through to the cancellation department and threaten to cancel your subscription. When you get through to cancellations they will bend over backwards to keep you. I've just got a better package for less money. She also told me that if you send a copy of your phone bill to Sky, they will refund the cost of a call to your account. I suppose it depends on how long the call takes as to whether its worth all that hassle. I've just been on for 30 minutes so had I called on the 0870 number, it would have cost me.
