Sherbert,
The Brick Lane office is very, very interesting, I pass the area on a regular basis and was not aware that Sky had an office there! I may just pop in next time I need to contact them! Thanks
As for the phone number, I forgot to mention that I did find the London number so I apologise for not mentioning it. I asked to be put through to customer services and again I was left holding for a long duration. I tried the 020 number later in the day and the same receptionist told me to call 0844 since they did not have the facility to put me through.
One can only suspect that she was told not to put people through in future.
I decided to email them and received a call back from them. After mentioning all of this, they gave my account a £50 credit AND offered me 12 months free telephone line rental and broadband! Result - I would recommend anybody being forced to use the 0844 number follow the same course of action.
As for having Sky in the first place, I moved here a few months ago and was only able to get a small handful of channels on the freeview box and none via analogue. I then noticed that every single house on the street has a sky dish installed. Turns out nobody here can get a tv signal!
