Unfortunately there is bound to be some body who works for Sky and who has the job of shutting down these numbers, and as such any email that you get could be from that employee.
If he gets to you before everybody gets a chance then that is a chance wasted.
There will always be other numbers.
I can't believe that we have nobody here that works for Sky that can't keep the numbers updated.

Hi,
Just to say that I have just rung 01506 831 780 and have got through to Sky and am waiting, it said, for 45 minutes!  I have a call provider, 18866, who charge a 4p connection charge and then it is 0p per minute, so I can wait as long as I like and it won't cost me anything.  Otherwise, on the 0870 number at 10p per minute, it would be £4.70.  I am disabled and on benefits so, for me, the 0870 numbers are a scam!  On the other hand sites like this and Martin Lewis's are brilliant!
Regards,
Bruce  Smiley

I have updated the information in the database for 0800 5875707. You must enter a number followed by * and then select option 1. Do this 3 times and you will be transferred.

.
Thanks... I just rang it and got through straight away with no * and options.. In fact he said hello before I could get the phone to my ear.

First time I have used this website and what a result. On Sat (26th Aug) I phoned the 0870 sky cistomer services number and was told 50min wait.
Then phoned 0800 0510317 then options 3,5,3 with every intention of cancelling my contract. Phone answered within seconds and was offered all sports, variety mix and leisure mix for £5 a month for 4 months keeping sky plus. After considering this for  about 2 seconds I accepted.

I have put off phoning sky for months as really didn't want to loose sky plus, but I cannot justify £36 a month for the odd hour I watch that is not on freeview.

Two minute phone call £124  saved. Top result.

I used the 0800 587 5707 number just now (1st September 2006) and the phone was answered straight away from UK by the sound of the voice. Very polite, checked my account details then transferred me (less than 1 minute on hold) to someone who could sort out my problem (faulty TV connector). Hopefully the new part will arrive within five working days as promised! Smiley Smiley

I just used the 0800 5875707 number for Sky customer services which was answered in a couple of minutes by a person with a Scottish accent.

Hi, When ringing Sky always ask for a department that has a call centre based in the UK. Generally these are sales departments. Otherwise, you generally get the run around and you can often receive duff information. The sales depts. are able to assist you with your request as much as the general customer services.

If you find yourself in a queue, try pressing *2 . Often this jumps you to the top of the queue.
If you call the  0870 2404040 number. Don't select any of the options. This will put you as a priority in the customer service queue.

If you are considering subscribing to Sky, always ask for a deal. Sky always have extra freebies to give away to ensure that they sign you up. At the moment, they will give you 6 months free movies and sports when signing up to any package. But you have to ask!

If you are a returning customer, always tell Sky that your Set Top Box is broken. They will send you a new box free of charge to ensure that they sign you up.

Finally, if you don't want to pay lot's of money, Get a Freeview Card, AKA "FTA Card". (Free to air). They are a one off fee of twenty pounds and you will receive all non-sky channels for 3 years. Sky customer services should advise you of this service and the telephone number to ring, but they don't. Ring 0870 8500033 for the freeview card.

Looks like Sky have turned off the connection to customers services on the 0800 5875707 number this morning  Sad

Line just goes round and round with recorded voice asking for viewing card number to continue receiving paper bills.

Tried to enter any old thing three times then voice gives out 0870 # and hangs up Angry

The 01506 still works but for how long...

Way OT ricj6400 and not very accurate so, for the Sky virgins, corrections:

A 'Freesat' (not Freeview - that the digital terrestrial alternative) card (FTV - Free To View) will decrypt THREE channels - Channel 4, five and Sky Three only.

All other 'non-Sky' channels are FTA (Free To Air) and do not need a card of any sort.
