Animal Friends Insurance (Pets)
Aug 21st, 2004 at 7:42am

Hi, I need an alternative to 0870 403 0300. Address at Chester House, Unit 12, Brickfields Business Park, Gillingham, Dorset. SP8 4PX. I'm looking specifically for pet insurance. I've checked, but couldn't find anything.

As one KOS to another, take my advice and try Saga Pet Insurance (personal recommendation).

Apart from anything else, they have an 0800 number to call.  I reduced my pet cover by over £30 /year.  Grin

Hi DaveM,  Maybe this should have been an Instant Message, but here goes anyway. I have Saga for my cat insurance at the moment, what bugs me is that they have just given me a quote for the following 12 months. Their Vet coverage has been reduced by £1000, the yearly premium has increased (expected!), but the Excess that I have to pay for each treatment has gone up from £35 to £65, and I have made no claims whatsoever in the last year. None at all with Saga as a matter of fact.

No, a valid reply.

I can confirm that my premiums have gone up but so have all the others I tried (I'm not averse to shopping around!). Also the reduction to £1000 Vet coverage. I talked to them about the excess (mine is only £50) & they say that the excess depends on your location (mine is in the countryside) and animals age. No problems, quick to help, claims paid fast.
We switched from Petplan which we got at a reduced rate for 1 year.

Try looking for a company that doesn't ask you to ring an 0870 number to get YOUR business.

Why not use the Call me now link just below the 0870 number on their website ?

If they want your business let them pay for the call!

Hi PaulDavidtz,  I just noticed that Paul, thanks a lot for pointing it out to me. We'll see what they have to offer.
