Mastercare - Dixons/Currys/The Link (DSGi) (Read 40,405 times)

The only numbers for Mastercare in Sheffield came up as Service Centre with the number 0870 1541541, and we have the alternatives for that in our list under

Currys Mastercare

.
However, Googling around (as you do) I came up with a load more numbers around the country, which are of NO USE in this case, but I thought I'd mention it !!

The Mastercare main switchboard (01442 888000) and Dixons Stores Group [DSG] (01442 353000) both have redirects messages to 0870 8503333. Still NO GOOD !! Undecided

A bit more got me heaps of numbers that don't work any more so are also useless !! Undecided

Then I came across the gem:-

Dear All,

Fridge is packing up! Although I've already called the 0870 number to report my problem, if past performance is anything to go on, I could be calling again and again, when they don't turn up as arranged!!

Its one of Curry's Mastercare nos - 08701 565 550 - this one for fridges,washing machines, cookers etc. This number isn't listed in the verified/unverified.

In the past, I've found the listed alternative Mastercare Customer Services (01442 354 444 for 0870 600 1550) very helpful but when I dial it now its just a dead tone. I've dialled both with and without the 141 prefix. A further alternative would also be appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation of any further help.

Unfortunately, however, the suggested 01442 353 000 doesn't ring through. This is the same as 01442 354 444, which now needs to be removed from the database.

Is this an example of Currys Mastercare 'blocking off' alternative geographic numbers ? I'd be grateful of any further responses.

Thanks Hanco for your reply and PM. I was heartened to read that you successfully enforced currys/mastercare's agreement and obtained a full refund - power to the consumer!

I must admit I'm not overly impressed with the level of service by mastercare. However we want some kind of cover plan for our kitchen appliances (fridge, washing machine, dryer and dish washer) but there doesn't seem to be many alternatives to mastercare out there - unless anyone can recommend one ?

There's more of us that them, stick together and challenge 0870/0845 etc etc

The number you give is not recognised, however there are several numbers if you choose to search for mastercare.

hi guys,
I need an alternative GEO number for currys coverplan service for fridge/ freezers. I think this is managed by Mastercare and they doesnot want to put me to this department and asked me to ring this 0870 number when i used the GEO number from database.
They are costing me so much as they didnt order the parts for me when i was waiting for that to come up.
any help is most apprecitated Sad

Which geographical number? Please specify as it avoids people wasting their time by suggesting it again.

Perhaps you need to speak to the main call centre rather than the local repair office.

I've found this thread which suggests you can get connected using 0800 0682868.

Some numbers are suggested above, so have a look at what people have already tried.
