Hi twirltom, If you could provide the FULL 0870 no. & possible the address, it would help the guys to locate alternatives for you.

The 'old' geographical number wouldn't go a miss either. I presume that you've tried it and it's out of service.  Roll Eyes

Hi Robin P

The whole 0870 number for BIC is 0870 113000

Hi Tom

The old number was 01202 456456 and it refers you to the number above.

Any other 01202 number would be appreciated.

Thanks Shocked

I've not tried any of these numbers, have a try yourself.

The contact details for BIC are here on their website. The main number (switchboard/reception?) is
01202 456400
. This seems to be a general council number. If they won't put you through, I was going to suggest trying other numbers, but there seems to be lots and lots. Lips Sealed

All the numbers for Bournemouth Council start 01202 45, so that gives 10,000 possible combinations.  Cry

The council complaints procedure is here.

The address is:
Bournemouth International Centre
Exeter Road
Bournemouth
BH2 5BH

And the have the NERVE to lie saying,
"Calls charged at National Rate."

They're NOT.  They're about 8p a minute during the day - 2.66 times MORE EXPENSIVE than BT's daytime UK rate (to geographical numbers) and a great deal more than the flat rate 1p I pay for calls to geographical numbers.

Happilly, they also give an e-mail address ..........

Box Office 0870 111 3000
Calls charged at National Rate.

After years of ignoring govt. guidelines & RIPPING OFF Council Tax payers using 0845 numbers, Essex County Council changed to 0345 numbers on 2 November 2015

Hi there jojo50,

Welcome to SayNoto0870.

It is usually really helpful to provide us with more than just the number for an organisation, such as a website address.

The website for BHL Live Tickets is here
I searched on the website for contact details and hidden within Booking Info (at the very bottom of the page) is a link to call costs here which contains an after sales number which is 0344 576 3000. Calls are charged at a standard geographic rate, the same as an 01/02 number.

I would advise you contact them to find out information you need, but note that they specify only the 0844 number will be able to take bookings or amend them.

I hope this helps.

The last 2 Posts were moved here from Geographical Requests by CJT-80.

I have combined these posts as BH Live Tickets relates to the Bournemouth International Centre and Pavilion Theatre.

The listed 01202 number above was engaged both times when I rang it.  It may be worth trying or other numbers in that range.  Perhaps one number each side?

If you want tickets you have to call the advertised 0844 number or call in at one of the box offices.

Its no good calling the head office number, the press office, or any other council number in the 01202 456xxx range.

Amending tickets is a post sales activity and covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

As such, providing only an 0844 number for this appears to be a breach of Regulation 41.

Make sure you claim back the call cost, as is your right under Regulation 41(2). You can also report this to Trading Standards via the Citizen's Advice national Consumer Helpline on 0345 404 0506.

The above info stated the original Box Office number was 01202 456456, hence why I tried it.  It was engaged both times I called.  I didn't suggest calling any of the other advertised numbers.  It may be possible to find the underlying number that the 0844 number directs to...

Taken from: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/3134/made

41.—(1) Where a trader operates a telephone line for the purpose of consumers contacting the trader by telephone in relation to contracts entered into with the trader, a consumer contacting the trader must not be bound to pay more than the basic rate.
(2) If in those circumstances a consumer who contacts a trader in relation to a contract is bound to pay more than the basic rate, the contract is to be treated as providing for the trader to pay to the consumer any amount by which the charge paid by the consumer for the call is more than the basic rate.

Is that the legistation you are referring to? If so it would be worth pointing this out to BIC and BH Live Tickets  Smiley
