Have you tried Google?

The search
lidl "SW19 4JS"
gives 020 8971 1122 on the first page of results.

Please enlighten me Oh wise one  when I put Lidl "SW19 4JS" on to google I did not come up with the number, the first 2 entries were Lidl on line which only showed the 0870 number, the next entry was company profile which also gave the 0870 number, what was I doing wrong or indeed not doing?I really wouuld like to learn.

Thanks Tallan, the answer is to persevere through all the google entries! Have you posted the number on the list?

Whoops, sorry. I had thought that you had as the original enquirer.

But have done it now.

I must admit Dave that I had the same problem as Reggie. You must have your screen resolution set higher so that it gives you more than 10 entries per screen.

The one you found it on is also a rather useful Company Finder for searches so I've made it a
Favorite
.
(
Leave the search field blank and it gives the complete listing of 969 entries
)

Also further down is mentioned the Human Resources dept. (which is 0870 4441234)
Tel. No:
020 8971 4789
and Fax No:
020 8971 4703

. . . and what looks like it could be the switchboard; Tel:
020 8971 1100
& Fax:
020 8971 1198

Just depends on who you want there.   Grin

Numbers all confirmed working: 26th Oct 2004

I've just tried it and it displays 20 results per page.

I'm using Mozilla Firefox. There's a search box which you can type in and search in the selected search engine. It completely by-passes the Google home page.

I've been using it for months now, I won't be going back to Internet Explorer any time soon. Try it, there's loads of add ons and more features than IE. Find as You Type is useful. Instead of going to the Find window to search for text on a web page you just type away. So on that page of results you just type '020' and it goes straight to it.

Thanks Dave.

I'll give that a try. Don't let anyone say I'm a technophobe, but I'm certainly not a fan of Microsoft even though as tech support you have to work with what the corporates use.

I worked with Netscape 4.xx for ages until I got sick of the number of errors it kept on throwing up. V6 and v7 are too bloated, but I understand Mozilla Firefox is much reduced so I hope (expect) it does the job properly. I'll let you know.  Smiley

Hi all
I just wanted to inform everyone that all the numbers mentioned above are incorrect - best numbers to use are the following
"Our friendly telephone service is available to you on the number below: 0800 977 7766* /  0370 444 1234* (*Phone calls only within the UK. Rate varies depending on your landline/mobile service provider.) "

Hope that's helpful

Dominic

I have updated the main listing for Lidl (UK) with their 0370 and 0800 numbers.

On the subject of their numbers, the call info given is misleading and frankly confusing..

Huh
