That particular number is for the Archers Direct Brochure line.  We are getting close!

I can't see any obvious thread for advising as here - surely this should be a main "forum" item?  This is first time I've needed to advise, so:
Archers Direct, Bromley, shows several alternatives to their 0870 /0844 numbers.  None of these will redirect so all of existing notes are irrelevant now (Jan 10th 2011).  I have tried both 020 as well as the 0800 number without success.   They will only supply the 0844 number in brochure.

What jamesbond's e-mail in red highlights is that Archers is part of Cosmos Holidays/Monarch Group. I found the numbers for Monarch Airlines only last month. Indeed, at the same time I found 0161 numbers for Cosmos as well. 0161 is for Stockport as well as Manchester.

A quick call to the 0844 573 4806 number for Archers Direct and Cosmos 0161 209 4253 number reveal that they are answered automatically after one ring and that it is exactly the same male voice. This suggests we may be getting warm!

It's not between 0161 209 4250 and 4299; they are all Cosmos, Avro and Somewhere2Stay.

You could try Cosmos on 0161 209 4267 or 4270. Or you could try 0161 209 4252, 4262, 4265, 4273, 4273 which presently all say they're closed but don't identify what they are.

The message you hear is played out by the party you are calling which publishes 0871 numbers which cost from 10 pence per minute (from BT). Thus, the message relates to when you had called via the 0871 number (the company doesn't intend people calling the 0161 number).

If I were you, I would call one of the 0161 numbers and see if they will deal with your query about Archers Direct.
