I know there is already an alternative for Throntons (0845 121 1911)
But on there mobile site they also supply 01773 83 88 88.
Thanks for this.
I've removed the old number we had for Thorntons which is now not recognised: 01773 540550.
The 838888 number is also given on the
Thorntons mobile site.
The
contact page gives the address:

The head office number, 0845 075 7565, goes to a message identifying it as Thorntons head office. The franchise information number, 0845 075 0056, rings with no (quick) answer.
All the rest are (now they're closed) answered with the same Thorntons closed message, as is on 838888. The opening hours are given as Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6pm.
I went through the 8388xx block and found most of them not recognised. Those that are in service have that closed message on and they are 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 54, 67, 74, 75, 78, and 88.
Further investigation during opening hours will be required to ascertain which is which. It will also be useful to know whether the 0800 number is a suitable alternative to the 0845 numbers for orders and web support.
I haven't found the main switchboard number yet either. Numbers in the office appear to be 01773 542xxx and I believe that these are extensions 3xxx. I've tried obvious permutations like 542000, 542345, 542222 and so on.
Using the directory, stores are extension 7 followed by three-digit store number. Eg Swindon Great Western is x7293. I found this having got through to the directory of names on 01773 542456. I spelled "swi" in the hope of getting the extension number of the switchboard. I also tried the first few letters of "reception" and "operator" but got nothing. The shops do have geographic numbers published, but if that changes, this may be a way of getting through to them.
