for the Dept of Work & Pension which was provided for 0845 300 1084 came up as 0191 218 777 however I was informed that was for anyone that was either working abroad now or in the past.

As I didn't fit into either of those, ie UK throught working life, the number proved to be of no use. Not complaining but thought I'd bring this to your attention as there must be many people due for retirement who will need an alternative number if possible.
