I assume that prettymuch any HBOS number for credit card enquiries will work. There are quite a few such entries in the Say no to 0870 database. Indeed, there are even some for Amazon Mastercard (with a different 0845 to the one you quote).

There is an unverified entry for Amazon Mastercard which is 029 20446001. Putting this number into the search page's number search reveals several entries for HBOS credit card customer services, as well as Lycos and Mercedes credit card enquiries lines.

It has been pointed out, on more than one occasion on the forums, that the NGN accesses a group of numbers of operators that are logged on at that time. The Geographic number however is only one of that group and may be constantly in use by the operator doing their job, hence you find it busy when you call.

The ONLY recourse therefore is to find other numbers in that group or to call the NGN. It could be any of the numbers near the one given. As this is a call centre, it is worth finding out which financial group is supplying the services for Amazon. Then look at the other numbers we have for them in the database and try those. For example, GE provide card services for numerous store cards and can be accessed through the same service centre number.
