No sooner had I praised the site for finding an alternative number for my daughter forthcoming holiday and no sooner had I agreed with posters who feel those seeking al alternative number shold do more research for themselves, than I find myself falling into the same trap.

Flushed with delight because I had saved my daughter money, she now calls and ask me if I would try an alternative for Rosemary Connelly's 0870 050 7727. Seemingly she has sports kit available.

In the meantime I'll do a google search and see if I can get more info, but if YOU can, I'll buy you a pint. Islandman

Rather than being totally reliant on this site, I did a google search (and discovered my spelling error) and found that all but the ordering numbers were normal, it was only the order number that was 0870. I decided to email the company and request the regional number, adding that I am a keen supporter of www.saynoto0870.com and suggested they themselves take a look at it.

A reply from the assistant to the general manager supplied the number you gave which is 01509 620222.

For what it's worth, it might be a usefull exercise for anyone else to politely email companies if and when a 0870 number is listed.

I guess you mean geographical number rather than proper, as the one you gave is a proper number which is inclusive on BT plans and some others. (Depending which plan you are on)
