Orange Technical Support (Mobile)
May 1st, 2005 at 11:42am

Does anyone have a geographical number for te 24/7 technical help desk.  tey give te number:

07973 100439 or 439 from a handset.  I've tried all the ones listed but they're mostly sales and customer support and wont transfer me...

The reason i need to get through was so i could change my password on the orange website...

0800 80 10 80 is not switchboard - it's a grumpy sales line and they are rude and harrass you if you don't buy a phone from them Angry

erm... it's technical support i'm after not customer services... and:

0800 0801080 = some sales line

0800 0791050 = contract upgrades (transfered me after convincing them i dialed the correct number and got through to them.. in the end told me to call 156 free from my handset... but when i dial that number.. it just hangs up instantly)

0800 0794040 = Retail support line (for shops)

Orange - YOU GET CHARGED ITEMISED BILLING
Reply #4 - Jun 21st, 2006 at 8:26pm

Now that Orange are going to charge for itemised billing (Ł1.50), they have set up a techincal support number to find out online login details.

The telephone number is: 439 from your Orange phone, or 07973 100439 (All calls to Orange Technical Support are charged at 50 pence )

Is there an alternative local number?

Orange have now replaced their office geographical numbers with 0870 numbers. They are also allowed to use their own mobile phone numbers for contact. So calls from a BT landline cost more to for Orange mobile numbers than 0870, so I think that we can safely assume that they make more from 07973 customer services than they ever would on 0870! The other thing to bear in mind is that they are the telecommunications provider for these numbers, so it's not like they have to pay a third party telco for its services.

Where it says that calls are charged at 50 pence per minute; that will apply from an Orange mobile. Calls from landlines and other mobile networks will be charged as per a call to an Orange mobile.

18185 currently charges 5p/min plus a 4p connection fee for calls to UK mobile numbers. Phonecheap are currently allowing calls for 4p/min, as to are 0844calls.co.uk.  Wink
