Hi i know it can be confusing to some folks but you should have posted this under geographical requests.
A didgit seems to be missing from the Southern No?
What are the addresses, post codes of these people.
If you dont have any luck you can phone 0845 numbers at peak rate for 2p a min from a BT Landline, on access no 0844 462 48 48.Every little helps.

Many thanks for advice bigjohn-still trying to find my way! Address for southern rail is -Go Ahead House 26/28 addiscombe road Croydon CR9 5GA and Rail Passenger Council Freepost WA1521 Warrington Cheshire WA4 6GP. Sorry for my ignorance but can you explain access through BT landline non 0844. By the way have noticed that people are now appologising for having to give out non geo numbers-is the protest starting to have an effect?

Yes the word about is getting around about Joe Publics dislike of NGN numbers.
The 0844 no i gave you is a cheap call providers no,that allows you to call 0845 numbers for 2p a min at peak rate. Its still cheaper to use BT off peak and at weekends.
I cant help you on the 0845 alternatives numbers but be patient someone might.
