I use www.afd.co.uk/tryit

its kinda ok but you only get 10 searches, it also searches bank sort codes etc.

You could also go to a post office and try and send a parcel, postcodes have to be checked on the system before acceptance... Nightmare at Xmas time!

Registering for the royal mail postcode lookup online can be done by using bugmenot.com

Look up limits on some sites can be avoided by clearing cookies.

Post-code inquiry number

To help the post office in its work we are asked to use post codes. Needing three I asked my local post office how to find them. The good lady gave me the telephone number 0906 3021222. This is a premium number for which Saynoto has no alternative. Were I to use it I would be charged a large amount for helping the Post Office to do its work. I did not. Long live Saynoto in its work!

Use the Postcode Finder on the Royal Mail website.  Wink

01752 387092 no longer works and gives the recording that the caller has dialled an incorrect number.
