Sometimes Call18866/1899 can be busy at the weekends due to excessive calls being made.
I use OneTel at the weekend because all their geographical calls are free at weekends no matter how long and they dont even have a monthly fee for this. TalkTalk do a similiar thing but they have a limit of 70mins though.
As I have an Orchid Dialler box, it does it all automatically so I don't need to worry about it.

It doesn't appear to be unique to 18866! Read
this thread
and Call1899 are also having problems.

Do you have a BT line or cable? (I've had no problems today with a BT line).

same for me...got the network busy tone last friday morning (all morning) when dialled 18866 from bt line; and its just happened again tonight (tuesday 7th 22.10)
only this time i got the voice saying "zero p per minute" and then the bt voice saying "please hang up". Going to see if I was charged a connection fee! Is it just network busy or something more sinister?
