In amongst the widespread abuse of the 084/7x numbering system by most government QUANGOs like Otelo and Ofcom it is pleasing to note that there is one shining beacon of good practice directly associated with the regulation of some aspects of the telecoms industry.
This beacon of good practice is to be found at
www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk where there are no less than 9 different geographic contact phone numbers listed and not a single 084/7x number amongst them.
Now if only all government agencies could behave in this way.
