yes:
http://www.plymouth.gov.uk/homepage/yourcouncil/transportandstreets/parking/

The geographic numbers listed there are not the numbers i need.

PCC have outsourced there admin to a compnay named 'Vertex' based in scotland (thats where the 0845 leads)

That sort of attitude want get you anywhere on this site.We do try and help people that help themselves. If you give us as much info as you  possibly can in the first place.Eg Address where calls answered.Website if any.Geographical Fax No if known. etc etc ( The fact that the numbers on the PCC website are no good would have been helpful.) We dont know the alternative to every ngn number, we do do have to carry out some research to help people, and the more info you can give us to go on, will help us to help you.

There's no need to get on your high horse and give me attitude.  If you don't know the answer, just don't reply.

It goes with out saying that i checked the website,  it's not difficult to find

"plymouth council parking" finds it first hit

As i said, if you don't know the answer - don't reply.

I'm certainly not going to kiss the ground you or BJ walk on.  There was no need for BJ’s attitude.  The response I made to BJ was comparative to his.  I stand by what I said.

I suggest this thread is now locked as clearly nobody here knows the answer and it's a waste of everybody’s time to have childish rants.

Furthermore, I’ve already found the answer and I doubt I’ll ask for assistance in the future as you have been of no help.

However, i have found saynoto0870.com very useful over the past year and will continue to use it.  But I doubt I’ll visit the forum again.  As a new user to the forum -  i have found you rude, unhelpful but most of all unwelcoming.

Please refrain from replying to this post as it will only show that you are being petty and clearly childish.

I have to agree with BJ and DaveM.

We are all volunteers and have lives and in our spare time help people out the best we can in finding geographical numbers.

What BJ asked was a legitimate question and does make our jobs in finding an alternative a little easier.

Unfortunately, we don't just have a geographical for every 0845/0870 (wish we did though) so we do have to a lot of searching and looking at several websites, searching several DQ's, etc and sometimes it can take in excess of 15minutes to do a proper search through all the different ways of trying to find a geographical number.

This time obviously increases if we're told very little from the start.

For example, in the thread below this one (the Holiday Inn Hotel), Dave had posted the address and with that I managed to find two geographicals fax numbers and tried ringing neighbouring numbers to see if one was their number.  Searched through all our usual ways of trying to get geographicals but unfortunately though I weren't able to get a geographical - only a possible geographical but unfortunately there is a digit missing (due to a typo on the website I found it on).  All this took in excess of 20mins.

UPDATE:  That website from PCC you quoted does not say that they outsource their company to Vortex therefore that information would have been handy at the beginning.

bbb_uk, your post is both helpful and constructive.  It's a pity BJ and Cruz's post (which has disappeared) wasn't posted in the same manner.

The update of information i gave i only found out after the initial post.  The only information i had then was their website - which in hindsight i should have included.

Perhaps if the initial posters could have been more polite then the heated part of this discussion could have been avoided.  I do appreciate all your work and can understand how it can get frustrating.

Regards,
Dave

Then perhaps you wouldnt mind sharing the answer with everybody else.So it can be listed as an alternative on the site in case someone else should need it.
