These numbers answer with a recording saying that they are no longer in use and redirect to 0870 333 0290.

I have removed these numbers. There is now no alternative, although the main HBOS switchboard is listed under the Other Information field.

Both 0870 850 1291 and 0845 601 0521 have a geographical number and neither 01244 874940 or 01733 338480 are correct. If someone could help, I would appreciate. Thank you.

Good morning,

One of these numbers does not work anymore and the HBOS switchboard does not transfer calls to Blair Oliver & Scott anymore. They insist we have to call 0845 601 0521. It is almost impossible to find out the geographical number during out of office hours as the recording is the same for all HBOS including B O & S. But I've tried several during office hours and none works for them.

Hello and welcome to SAYNOTO0870.COM.

Thanks for posting this. I've made the following changes to the listings:

removed unverified entry 01733 338480 which does not accept incoming calls
I've made 01383 426000 the main (first) verified alternative with a note "Switchboard at office where Blair, Oliver & Scott is based - ask to be put through"
0870 850 1291 = 01244 874940 remains unverified as they are both answered with the same recording which identifies them as "Retail Bank Collections". This is the same female voice as is on Blair, Oliver & Scott's 0845 and 0870 numbers. Also search our database for these 0870 and 01244 numbers brings up other entries pertaining to Halifax/HBOS.

Please let me know if there are any further updates necessary.

Thanks Johnny Debt, I've removed the entries with this number in (one for Blair, Oliver & Scott and one for Birmingham Midshires). I see you pointed this out last month, but I didn't pick up on it then.

The number 0131 442 7777 says that the switchboard closed on 31st March 2011 and gives the following covert premium numbers for enquiries:

Halifax account 0845 739 4959
Bank of Scotland account 0845 780 1801
Equitable Life query 0845 603 6771
Birming Midshires Mortgages/Lloyds TSB 0845 300 2627
Birmingham Midshires Savings 0845 602 2828
