What are you trying to do, contact, get?
---
I am trying to get tickets for a tour at Broadcasting House as part of London Open House weekend. On their website it lists the 0870 number as the number to call - I rang it and I was placed in a queue and made to listen to some classical music, at which point I hung up as I do not fancy being charged the earth for listening to muzak, especially at nearly 10p+ per minute.
Have you looked in the database first?

Yes I have - there are other switchboard numbers for Bush House/TVC but I am not sure which dept to contact when asked, and I fear (like most organisations I have rung and asked to be put through or whatever) I will be given the 0870 number to dial by the operator, thus wasting my time.
I searched this forum but I can't seem to find the relevant geographical number for it.
Have you even read the big red writing which says Please click Here to read the 'Guide to finding geographical numbers'
before posting a request on the forums for a new alternative number.

Yes I have read it.
I have Googled the number and it seems to be one re used for ticket requests.
I think the BBC should be ashamed to use these revenue generating numbers that make people pay. They are a public service organisation who shouldn't use them. They seem to use 0870 numbers for pretty much everything.
