Dear Lily - I think you are going to be blasted for asking your question like this! There are some protocols to follow, you know - and you seem to have completely ignored them. Try reading the comments about how to ask for a number - eat some humble pie and put in another request....this time following the guidelines that the site moderators suggest.

Address? Non geographic number? Any other useful information......

(and I'm just trying to be polite to you! They won't.)

Have a nice day...... Wink

Here it comes lily

Firstly did you read that red text which was above the bit where you posted your question? No because you would have posted more information for us.

Now if youd have checked the verified list, you might have found the following.....
Traveline0161 2287811North-West
Traveline0151 2367676Merseytravel www.Merseytravel.gov.uk
Traveline01709 515151South Yorkshire
Traveline0113 2457676West Yorkshire ~ www.WYMetro.com
Traveline0121 2002700West Midlands; also 02476 559559 (goes to same callcentre) ~ www.Centro.org.uk
Traveline0207 2221234London
Traveline (Information)0131 2722178

Im sure one of those people would be able to put you through to the right traveline. They do when I call the 0131 on my mobile.

Would http://www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk be any help?

Arriva Bus Company Traveline Number

Hi  Smiley

I wonder if anyone might know the geographical number for Arriva Traveline?  This is the number to ring to ask about bus services etc. I searched the net and found a number in Sunderland (0191 520 4000), but the lady there just told me to ring the usual 0870 608 2608 number.

The particular area I am after, if they differ, is the North East.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks!

I managed to find the following information:-

North East Travel line's website is http://www.traveline-northeast.co.uk/ and from this I managed to find out that Travel line is operated by North East Transport Information Service (NETIS) which it appears is run by JourneyPlanner.

A search on 192.com reveals that NETIS located in Newcastle Upon Tyne have a geographical of 0191 222 0404.  Try this number and maybe numbers nearby like 0191 222 04xx.

Let us know how you get on.

A search of 192.com for ARRIVA in NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE reveals quite a few, including the number mentioned in the OP.

Is it Arriva you wish to contact or Traveline, which is probably operated by the local public transport executive?

Thanks for your replies. I have tried variations of the number you suggested bbb, but most just keep ringing and ringing, and one was answered as "Refugee Service!"  Cheesy

I suppose it is Traveline that I need as opposed to Arriva, as they are the people who seem to give out bus times etc.  They seem to be keeping their geographical number well under wraps!

Many thanks for trying though!  Smiley
