020 3031 8101-a recorded message-possible overseas call centre says not in use
020 3031 8103-was wheelchair assisstance number also not in use
called 0113 238 7444-the customer service number and was given
0871 2261 737
one of the recorded messages gave
0844 472 1031 for uk
and 00 44 203 2059 8337
Is anyone able to help please
Thanks for posting this. I've joined it on to the existing thread for Jet2.com.
It turns out that the number you posted which I've highlighted was getting very warm!
Firstly though, it is often useful to look at what we have, including what 08 (and 09) numbers are used for which alternatives are being sought.
As you can see in the posting I made above, three years ago (at that time) the alternative to the 0871 number was 020 3031 8101 and 8102 was the alternative to 0906 302 0660. These alternatives were the direct alternatives; that is they answered in exactly the same way.
I then had a look at 020 3031 81xx:
00 not recognised
01 message says that "number is no longer operational"
02 Jet2.com redirection message to 0901 230 0230
alternative for 0906 302 0660 (albeit it doesn't go anywhere!)03 Jet2.com Special Assistance Line redirector 0844 472 1031 from UK or 0044 203 059 8337 from overseas
04 Jet2.com Accounts Payable Department
05 message says that "number is no longer operational"
06 message says that "number is no longer operational"
07 message says that "number is no longer operational"
All these numbers have a moment's silence followed by a distinct purring ringing tone. 8102 matches the old 0906 number which is just over 50 pence per minute from BT and has now been replaced by the 0901 number which is just over 60 pence per minute from BT.
0844 472 1031 and 020 3059 8337 match and are Jet2.com's Special Assistance Line.
Working downwards, I found that 3059 8331 through to 8336 is the Jet2.com Enquiry & Information Line which matches 0901 230 0230. Part of its recorded message says that calls cost 60 pence per minute, but this obviously only applies when called via the 0901 number.
020 3059 8330 is the alternative to 0871 226 1737 Jet2.com's Flight Booking Line. It is for making a new flight booking, changing an existing flight booking or for making a travel insurance or car hire reservation. It says that general enquriies should be directed to 0901 230 0230.
It is also useful to look at the
Jet2.com contact page to see what numbers are published by the Company itself:
- For bookings and amendments to bookings 0871 226 1737
- For general enquiries 0901 230 0230
- For bookings and general enquiries (from others countries; those not listed) 00 44 203 059 8336
- myJet2 Loyalty Programme 0844 493 1880 if calling from the UK, or +44 1133 958228 from overseas
Following the trail from the myJet2 "overseas" number, I found that 0113 395 8226 is Jet2holidays. However, we already have a direct alternative for it which is 0113 387 9555 and can be used interchangeably with 0800 408 5599.
I have also removed some unverified entries and post them here for the record. I guess that these
might be for the Jet2.com desk at respective airports:
- Leeds/Bradford Airport 0113 250 8518
- Manchester Airport 0161 435 3491
- Newcastle Airport 0191 214 6563
So, to recap, the alternatives which answer in the same way as their 08/09 counterparts and are now listed in the database are as follows:
- Flight Booking Line 0871 226 1737 = 020 3059 8330
- Enquiry & Information Line 0901 230 0230 = 020 3059 8331
- Special Assistance Line 0844 472 1031 = 020 3059 8337
- myJet2 Loyalty Programme 0844 493 1880 = 0113 395 8228
- Jet2holidays 0800 408 5599 = 0113 387 9555
Enjoy!
