HELP! Creating a word which itself is a link? (Read 13,204 times)

With the new forum software all links are automatically in bold, so there is no need to use bold tags [b] around the address.

IE, there is no need to include the b and /b in square brackets, like this example here:

[url=http://www.google.co.uk/][b]click here[/b][/url]

So enter the following:
Code:

[url=http://www.google.co.uk/]click here[/url]

I've just discovered that the [link] tag can be used instead of the [url] one if you want the link to open in the same window.

So:
Code:

[url=http://www.google.co.uk/]Google[/url]

gives:

Google

which opens in a new window. And

Code:

[link=http://www.google.co.uk/]Google[/link]

gives:

Google

which opens in the current window.
