Hi there!

I cannot supply you a geo number for the London office, however I have a got a number in Spain:

0034 91 514 99 58

I would suggest that you register your mobile either with Onetel or 18866, and you will get a London number to phone.  You will then hear prompts to phone using the respective networks, however LISTEN to what they tell you do on the network, otherwise you WILL be paying MOBILE rates.

I hope, that this is of some assistance.

By the way, this info has been taken from Iberia's website.

Hi Paolo,

Yes, you are correct, however according 118118.com there is also another telephone number:

020 8222 8982

It may be worth trying too.

Well done.

I tried both Paolo's and James' offerings.

The first (8900) offered options that had nothing to do with customer service, except that the caller was directed to the 0870 number ...

The second (8982) answered with electronic noise - a fax or a modem.

Still hoping, then ...

Try Iberia's mainland Spanish number:

0034 902 400 433

Passenger Matters

Let me know if this works.

You can call a Spanish number for 0.5p per minute plus 4p connection charge with www.18185.co.uk

Thanks for the info re www.18185.co.uk. ; I suppose, that company still does not accept a direct debit.

Cheers.

Correct no Direct Debit option with 18185 but they are perfectly trustworthy with credit card charges at Finarea who also provide 18866 and 1899.

If you don't like paying that way you can use Finarea's dial through brand to Spain called http://www.bestminutes.co.uk at 1p per minute at all times, subject to 5p minimum BT connection fee.  Calls charged on your BT bill like any normal 0844 call.

Or why not book your Iberia flight online at http://www.opodo.co.uk who tend to offer special deals on Iberia tickets not available at www.expedia.co.uk or www.travelocity.co.uk   Opodo is part owned by Iberia.

Don't try booking at www.iberia.com though as you won't get the best price and their website is horrible.

Any alternative to 0870 609 0500. They have an admin number 020 8222 8900, but no connection to resevations or bookings.

Suggest you call Iberia in the US on 001800 772 4642.  Although this is a toll free number calls from overseas are charged at direct dialled rates, typically 1p/min, for example via 08448612121.

When calling them keep in mind the time difference, they are open from 8am Eastern Standard Time onwards (1pm UK time)

After a bit of posing as an agent, I elicited that 0870 609 0500 gets you their Madrid office. 0034 902 400 433 is a Spanish premium rate line which appears inaccessible from UK. 0034 91 514 9958 appears to drop out after a few seconds. Searching the spanish telephone directory I've found 0034 91 587 7458, but at present I've only managed to get an announcement in spanish saying "all our agents are busy, please try later"

In Europe Iberia's telephone numbers start with "9" in all countries except Austria.  Although I haven't checked, I suspect numbers starting with "9" are premium rate numbers.

The number in Vienna, Austria, is: 0043 179 567 722 and this is an ordinary geographic number. Option 3 is for English.

From UK landlines Iberia's Austrian number can be called for 1p/min via various providers, e.g. 0844 861 3535.

For the same cost, 1p/min, Iberia in the US can also be called (see post above)

Thanks for directing me to this thread.  But 0208 222 8900 said "Index Voice Manager" and 0208 222 8982 is a fax or similar.  Do I gather that there are no verified numbers for Iberia after all?
