IBM Service Centre
Nov 29th, 2005 at 12:34am

A few weeks ago I had a bad experience with IBM, trying to arrange for repairs to a laptop, which is on a service contract with them. The service centre number is an 0870, and I ended up having major problem, including queing for up to 60 minutes at a time. I propmptly did what everyone should, and wrote a complaint to them. I included some strong words about their use of 0870, especially for a service for which I suspect my employer is paying a very substantial amount of money for.
I have had numerous responses from the recipient, but no real reply, regarding the 0870 issue. Her telecom people are telling her that is is a "national rate" and I am telling her it isn't.
Is there a site I can send her to which succintly outlines the situation? I have pointed her to the ASA link given on this site, but are there any others which describe the sistuation in similar terms?
Thanks for any help provided.
