Ask whom they spoke with at ofcom (and their email address if poss) because I believe ofcom's use of the word basic doesn't make clear the cost of the call.

Most consumers could well associate "basic" as being same normal geographical charges.

If you're too busy then PM me the email address of the ofcom person and I'll email them and ask for clarification and for them to look into this further.

Either way displaying the call charges like recommended by the non-broadcast side of the ASA is the only option that will ensure most consumers are actually aware of the costs of these calls (at least from a BT landline anyhow as it would be nearly impossible to display call costs from all other networks).
