UK Passport Office - 0870 Revenue

I thought the following may be of interest to some of the users here.

I recently wrote a letter to the UK Passport Office asking them whether they derive an income from requiring the public to use a non-geographical telephone number and, if so, the income generated.

They replied confirming that they do and for the financial year 04-05 the income received was £383,264.74.

As soon as I have obtained other citizenship, my UK passport will be consigned to the bin. The UKPS will not get a penny more from me while it persists with extorting money from British citizens.
