It would actually help if you searched the lists of numbers on this web-site.  Roll Eyes
If you search "William" in the unverified list, you get two hits, one of which gives 0207 7055252.

As your message gives no info as to what branch / department / office you are after, I have no idea whether this is what you want.   Undecided

It would also help if you gave as much information as possible aboult what you are after as requested in the Notes at the top of this forum.  Then you might get a better response, instead of largely being ignored.   Sad

Just read the thread, and was about to post a joke similair to bill.

But then again, with such a thread, the odds on such a joke are pretty high

Hi, does anyone know the 02...number of william hill (bookmaker) which is 0800223311.

Does anyone also know the number of Coral (bookmaker) which has a freephone (no from mobiles) 0800 242 2232?

It's probably not available but someone might know.

Thanks

I've joined your thread to the existing one.

You can use the dial through numbers 020 0222 0700 or 020 0222 0900 to call freephone (0800/0808/0500) numbers from mobiles at 01/02 rates.  Wink

You should be able to program it in your address book using a 'pause' between 020 number and destination 0800 number.

I haven't yet managed to do this on my O2 XDA...

0800223311 (William Hill) and 0800242232 (Coral) are both Customer Betting lines. They are NOT free on mobiles. I hope this makes it clearer although it looks likely that these are difficult numbers to find.

Thanks to everyone who have contributed.

We know that they are not free from mobiles. Hence saying that you use one of the 020 call through numbers before dialling them.

Dave,

Thanks for the inforation on 0200 numbers. I am sorry if this sounds foolish but do I actually programe the number in?

Do I type in all the numbers including the 0800 number? I do not understand how you would pause after 020?

Thanks

Hils

You can either store the 020 number in your phone's memory: 020 0222 0700

Then dial that number by selecting the entry in the phone book. When it answers, you manually type in the 0800 number you want to call.

Or you can program one entry per 0800 you want to dial. For example, William Hill:

02002220700p0800223311

I use 'p' here to indicate pause. Different phone manufacturers use different keys and different symbols. Nokia uses the letter p and you have to press * a few times until it appears. What make is your handset?

Dear Dave,

Once again, thanks for the information. I currently use a blackberry. I tried what you suggested with the letter P after 02002220700p0800223311 but I still only get the message to diall the 0800 number.

Maybe a blackberry works differently but even if there is no solution, you've been most helpful already.

Appreciate it.

Hilary,

The letter "p" may not necessary be the pause key for a Blackberry. You may need to look in your manual to find out what key to press. I believe with Nokia phones that you can usually press the hash (#) key a few times to insert a pause, but don't hold me to that. If your phone doesn't have a pause key (I've yet to find one for my O2 XDA) then you'll probably have to end the number manually at the prompt.
