Maybe a blackberry works differently but even if there is no solution, you've been most helpful already.

I put blackberry pause into Google and the first result was:

Any good?

Thank you. I will work on the pause key but otherwise it's a better alternative than the 0800 number.

While I am at it, I may as well ask if anyone knows the geographical number of 08712 444666. It is a commentary line which charges 10p a minute on a landline but god knows what it is on my mobile.

If anyone knows it, once again I would like to know. It belongs to William Hill.

Thanks

Hils

For the William Hill betting call centre, I have been using 0113 296 8006.  Their call centre is based in Leeds, hence the number, and I've been using it for over a year.  What's more, you will be amazed at how quickly you get through to place your bet (often no ring tone at all).

The only other geographic number for a bookmaker call centre I have is for Stan James, and this is 01235 777000.

I have tried most of the others by asking them directly, and other than the above two, have had no success.  They all use 0800 numbers, which is fine off a landline, but annoying when charged from a mobile.

I would be delighted to hear from anyone with an '01' number for William Hill radio/commentary, 08712 444666

william hill radio/betting line

Hi guys, just hoping someone can help. Im an avid horse race fan and have loved listening to William Hill radio on my mobile for the last year or so and the commentary that they provide.

The number i found from this site way back then which gets you trough to their priority betting line and radio  commentary service is 020 110 48000, but for the last week all i get i an automated voice saying ' i'm sorry this service is temporarilly out of order'. The 0800 betting line however still funtions perfectly.

Is this because they've stumbled across the fact that this number is being used as a freebee so to speak?

Up until this week i used to listen to the service using my bluetooth headset on the way home from work, now im stuffed and sadly feel lost without what i have become accustomed to every day on the way home from work.

Ive tried all of the other geo numbers on here under william hill but none take me through to the same service.

Can anyone help please in finding an alternative.

Thank you

Magiccole

020 11048900 is the WH Information Service.  Wink

020 10091000 is also William Hill Information Service, although sometimes it is not recognised from a BT line. Calling it via 18185 it seems to always be available. Do let us know whether it's any good to you from your mobile.

Hi guys, just hoping someone can help.

The new number that Dave provided 020 11048900 also seems to have been struck down by the curse of "i'm sorry this service is temporarilly out of order". The 0800 betting line however still funtions perfectly.

Any ideas?

020 10091000 still works, although for some reason is often not recognised from a BT landline. I got through no problem from my Orange mobile just now.

Unfortunately I can't get 020 10091000 to work from either my 02 or vodafone mobile or my landline - does anyone have any suggestions?

Or does anyone have any other 020 numbers for other horse racing commentary services such as betfair, ladbrokes etc?

cheers
