I know that this subject has been covered because I have read on the subject here. However, as I am now wanting to run a second line from my broadband connection via VOIP, can I find the thread where the information was? Can I heck. Anyway, I have got the number registereds on Sipgate with the help of information found here, I now just need to get the correct equipment to be able to set up the line. I want to be able to run it without the need for the PC to be on. I have seen something that I think may do the trick on dabs.com.
http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=3LFS&v=1#infoareaI was going to email them this question but I noticed on reading their t&c's that they say not to bother, 'cos they only have the info that is on the page! Anyway, I thought I'd ask for any help on here. I have a broadband modem that is powered off the usb port so obviously that is going to need replacing. I would ideally like to buy just one piece of kit and that be future proof as far as installing a home network at some point in the near future. Will this kit suffice? Or is there another piece of equipment that anyone can recommend?
Thanks in advance.
Wal.
