At least 30 schools and nurseries are to close tomorrow (Thursday) due to industrial action by the T&G Union.
The decision whether or not to remain open has been devolved to headteachers and schools will remain open wherever possible in order to minimise disruption to pupils and families - 46 are expected to be open tomorrow.
On Friday, 43 schools are expected to be closed and 33 will be open.
Children who are entitled to receive a free school meal will receive a packed lunch.
Other children should bring their own packed lunch to school.
Parents should be aware that the situation may change quickly and schools may have to close at short notice.
They are therefore advised to check the Aberdeen City Schools Infoline on 0870 054 1999 (enter the PIN for the relevant school) before they set out.
We would reiterate that schools are only closed to pupils and all staff who are not on strike must report for duty as normal.
