This Bill is one of the biggest threats to democracy for some time and allows Ministers to bypass Parliament. It is of major constitutional significance.

Magna Carta 1215
39. No freeman shall be taken, or imprisoned, or disseized, or outlawed, or exiled, or in any way harmed--nor will we go upon or send upon him--save by the lawful judgment of his peers or by the law of the land.

Apparently thats still law, still we imprison people for 30 days without charge in breech of the Magna Carta and habeas corpus.
