I am trying to find the geographical number for Barclaycard, po box 5402, Northampton, NN4 1ZR.  telephone number 0870 366 5389.  there is a fax number 01515497880 if that helps.  When I call I am told I need to be transfered and then I am left holding for a long time.  I have of course hung up and dialed again this time requesting they call me but no one has of course.

Which department is this because the Contact Us section of Barclays website gives 0870 (none of them is the number you mentioned) but with geographical alternatives for those ringing abroad. Again none of them had an 0151 (Liverpool) area code.

As a first attempt, you could try is ringing some numbers around 0151 549 7880.  For example, 0151 549 7885 or other variations around 0151 549 7xxx.
