Unfortunately, we are not allowed to give out our Geographical number. Company Rules Im afraid and I quite like my job and want to keep it.
Everyone here clearly has access to the internet and as a company we wholly advocate the use of contact by email or any of the forms on our site which are of course free for all to use.
Most people contact us via the net and not on our 0870 numbers. I dont blame them, Thats why Im on this site.
Our company policy is to call all Clients on our bill, rather than have them waste money on theirs. For the most part we deal 99.9% with Corporations in any event as thats the target market we are aimed at, so we are not really wasting consumers pennies!
I fully agree with you about e-mail contact. I would never phone a company if e-mail will do they job. However, there are many companies where e-mail disappears into a black hole, so resorting to the phone is necessary.
If your company has a policy of "call all Clients on our bill, rather than have them waste money on theirs", why does it have an 0870 number which costs the client a premium? If they have to call, surely it would be better on an number that costs the standard price.
I realise you are not the boss and it puts you in a difficult position. But perhaps you could suggest a change in policy to those in charge. The company's numbers were bound to attract attention after you posted a link in your signature - it's not a good idea to do that as it might seem you were posting with the purpose of advertising services.
