Can anyone help with finding the geographical number for this online shop AV UK LTD The details for contact are

Does anyone have any idea what to call from UK? They sent me a remote control that is not working at all and I have emailed them with no response so I'm going to have to call them. Just didn't fancy calling an 0870 number when its not my flippin fault anyway plus I'll have to pay for the return of the item by the looks of it, so not very pleased  Sad

If an item you purchase is faulty when it arrives or faulty within a month then it is considered faulty on arrival and you are entitled to a full refund and/or replacement (assuming they have replacements in stock).  AV UK have to pay for the post & packing back to them at their expense but they may ask you pay it and get a receipt and post the receipt to them and they'll refund you the post & packing, along with the cost of the item itself (including any original post & packing).

If they try and say that you're responsible for post & packing then they're telling lies and just trying to save them from the cost of p&p.

Wow thankyou a very nice man Smiley I never thought you'd get it but great thats brill!

bbb_uk Thanx, I've rang them and they don't sound too nice, straight away she has said its the TV not the remote and they dont pay for returns and they deduct 30% for refunds on non faulty returned items. She said its the infra red on these TV's that go so it will be the TV. My guess is whatever they are going to say its not faulty as I rang back to tell them my daughter has now got a replacement herself and its working fine but she didn't like it and still said in not a nice way that she would be testing it before any refund  Sad

I had a feeling they wouldn't be too happy about you wanting to return anything.

If you've had the item for less than 7 working days from receipt of the goods then you can return the item under the Distance Selling Regulations and all you would be required to pay would be the post&packing back to them (which would be cheaper than the 30%).  There are certain excepts and the goods have to go back to them in as new a condition as possible.  See this site and the FAQ's and then if you want ring your local trading standards for advice.

UPDATE:

If you are within 7 working days then you have to write to them and/or email them with your intentions of returning the item under this regulation.

Hi thanx

Well I have sent it back now so just have to wait and see what they come up with. It was orderd a week today, last monday that is the date thats on the invoice slip too but I did order it at 9 30pm that night on the net so they didnt post it till tuesday then I recieved it on wednesday. They will probably class it as 7 working days tomorrow including order date. But seeing as I've already sent it back as faulty they may not accept the 7 day thing now but I will just wait and see and hope for the best Smiley

They wont because by the time they come back to you, it'll be outside the 7 days.  The best you can do is hope it is faulty.
