Calling FROM Denmark?
May 23rd, 2006 at 5:01am

Can anyone advise of a service that gives cheap calls to the UK from Denmark please - it needs to be a pre-dial code like 1899, not somehing like 0844 etc, because my boyfriend has no home computer, is living in a shared flat and wants to pay for these calls seperately to the shared flat's main telephone bill Smiley

you could try a Google search of a couple of translated words, or failing that look into callback services which should be able to make calls for about 2 or 3 pence per minute; you call an access number that calls you back, or some can be triggered by a mobile

I stumbled across 'Spectra Denmark 1047'at http://www.callback.se/Spectra-Denmark.htm, but my suspicion was aroused because I could get no rates from their rate calculator, so e-mailed their 'rate database admin' blester@telegroup.com, and that bounced so then e-mailed another address from their site global-sales@affinitytele.com, and that also bounced immediately.

So I guess this outfit is defunct (although it seems happy to encourage sign-up), unless someone can report it as in use.  But I'm also worried because it seems to be intimately close to 'Primus', which I use via CPS for UK->UK calls, mainly in the evenings and at weekends.

So any news re whether the 'Spectra Denmark 1047' website is just having a glitch, and/or the continued health of Primus in the UK, would be most welcome Smiley

How about being generous to your boyfriend and offering to call him back?

You can call Danish landlines from 0.5p/min, i.e. you can chat with him for an hour for only 30p.

The current and cheapest rates can be checked at:
